ISW named the main goal of the Russian attack on the enterprise in Transcarpathia

The attack on the American Flex enterprise in Transcarpathia is an attempt to influence Ukraine’s Western allies to stop investments in Ukraine.

This is stated in a report by the Institute for the Study of War.

“Russia likely struck Flex to discourage the United States and Ukraine’s European allies from investing in or doing business in Ukraine,” ISW believes.

It is noted that Russia had been preparing for this strike for several weeks, stockpiling drones and missiles against the backdrop of negotiations and a meeting between Putin and Trump.

“Russia struck much smaller blows in the weeks leading up to the Alaska summit to present itself to the United States as a bona fide negotiator,” the report said.

Thanks to smaller-scale attacks, Russia has amassed a significant number of drones and missiles to resume massive strikes on Ukraine.

As a reminder, on August 21, Russian occupiers in Mukachevo, Transcarpathia, launched a missile strike on a large American electronics manufacturer .

It is worth noting that on the night of August 21, Lviv suffered a serious blow from Russian forces – drones and missiles were fired at the city, resulting in one person being killed, two being injured, and dozens of residential buildings being destroyed.
