US President Donald Trump said he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize, but doubts he will receive it this year.

“I don’t know what their decision will be,” Trump said, commenting on the upcoming announcement of the laureate.
He also stated that the Nobel Committee supposedly has a reputation as a body that “doesn’t award it to people like me.”
“It’s about time,” the US president added.
Trump has repeatedly said that he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. He attributes this to his participation in resolving a number of international conflicts since returning to the White House.
According to the American president, he has intervened in eight armed conflicts. The leaders of Cambodia, Israel, and Pakistan have publicly announced their nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize.
At the same time, Reuters notes that the parties to some conflicts denied Trump’s role in their settlement, and in some regions, fighting later resumed.
The Norwegian Nobel Committee will announce the winner of the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize on Friday.
Recall that in 2025, the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Maria Corina Machado, not Donald Trump.
Trump later linked the decision not to award him the Nobel Prize to his own position on Greenland .
