“It was a mistake”: Trump is convinced that the war in Ukraine is connected to Russia’s exclusion from the G8

US President Donald Trump said that if Russia had not been expelled from the G8, there would have been no war in Ukraine.
He said this while talking to journalists.
The American leader expressed dissatisfaction that after the annexation of Crimea in 2014, former US President Barack Obama and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau supported the expulsion of Russia from the G8.
“I would say it was a mistake, because I think there wouldn’t be a war now if Russia had joined it,” he is convinced.
Trump also emphasized that a full-scale invasion could have been avoided if he had been president 4 years ago.
Earlier, Donald Trump said that the decision to exclude Russia from the group of the world’s leading democracies was a mistake . In his opinion, Moscow’s return to the G8 format could change the course of history.
