In Ukraine, on Thursday, May 28, a noticeable cold snap and stronger winds are expected due to the passage of a cold atmospheric front.
This was reported by weather forecaster Natalka Didenko.
According to her, the country will be behind a cold front, so precipitation is still possible, but it will be weak and localized.
“Tomorrow, May 28, the territory of Ukraine will be behind a cold atmospheric front. Therefore, the remnants of rain will still drip, but precipitation is expected to be insignificant and local,” Didenko noted.
After the front passes, colder air will begin to flow into Ukraine, causing the temperature to drop noticeably.
“Cold air will spread behind the cold front, so the air temperature will drop significantly, during the day to +15…+19 degrees, in the south +20…+23 degrees are expected,” the forecaster reported.
Separately, she warned of increasing winds, which could reach storm gusts in places.
“Cold air is heavy and exerts a lot of pressure, so the wind will increase to storm gusts due to the resistance of warmer air,” Didenko explained.
Cool and windy weather is also expected in Kyiv on May 28. According to the forecast, light rain is possible, and the temperature will drop to about +15 degrees. A strong north-westerly wind will be especially noticeable.
According to the weather forecaster, cool weather in Ukraine will persist until the end of the week, but gradual warming is expected in early June.
