Ka-27, air defense and Iskander: Defense Forces hit a number of Russian targets

The Ukrainian Defense Forces launched a series of strikes on military facilities of Russian troops, hitting air defense systems, an ammunition depot, and the area where the Iskander tactical missile system was concentrated.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to military data, units of the Defense Forces attacked a number of important enemy targets on March 5 and on the night of March 6.

In particular, Ukrainian forces struck the Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun complex in the Yakymivka area in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhia region, the Tor anti-aircraft missile complex in the Volnovakha area in the temporarily occupied Donetsk region, and the S-300 air defense missile launcher in the Strilkivka area in the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region.

The area of concentration of the Iskander operational-tactical missile complex of the 12th separate missile brigade in the Kurortne area in temporarily occupied Crimea was also hit.

In addition, the Defense Forces struck the Vostochny training ground in the Novopetrivka area in the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhia region, as well as a concentration of enemy manpower near Kolotylivka in the Belgorod region of Russia.

Ukrainian military also struck an ammunition storage facility in the Novooleksiivka area in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region.

Separately, a strike on a technical observation post on the Sivash jack-up rig in the Black Sea was reported. A Ka-27 helicopter was also destroyed during the operation.

The extent of damage and final enemy losses are being determined.

It was previously reported that Ukrainian forces damaged two frigates of the Russian Black Sea Fleet during an attack on the Novorossiysk naval base in the Krasnodar Territory.

As a reminder, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck ammunition depots, logistics facilities, and command posts of Russian troops.
