Kadyrov received a record 99.85% in the elections for the head of Chechnya

The vote count in the presidential election in Chechnya has been completed. According to the Russian Central Election Commission, Ramzan Kadyrov received 99.85% of the vote.

This was reported by Interfax, citing data from the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation.

After 100% of ballots were processed, two other candidates each received 0.05% of the vote.

These are the head of the Public Chamber of Chechnya, Ismail Denilkhanov, who was nominated by “A Just Russia”, and the deputy of the Chechen parliament, Khalid Nakayev, from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.

Kadyrov ran for United Russia. He has held the position of head of the Chechen Republic since 2011 , and has effectively ruled the region since 2007 , when he took office as president of Chechnya.

In the previous elections for the head of Chechnya in 2021, Kadyrov received 99.70% of the vote after counting 100% of the protocols.

Recall that on September 18-20, Russia also held elections to the State Duma. After counting the majority of votes, United Russia gained almost 58% .
