Kamala Harris has not ruled out a run for US president in 2028.

Former US Vice President Kamala Harris said she is considering running again for president in 2028.

She said this during an event organized by the National Action Network (NAN), The New York Times reports.

“Maybe, maybe. I’m thinking about it… I know what the job is, and I know what it takes,” Harris noted, noting her experience working in the White House.

According to the politician, after a break in her political career, she traveled around the United States and came to the conclusion that “the status quo does not work for many people.”

“It has to be about the American people… I think about it in the context of who, where, and how can best do the job,” she added.

Harris is expected to attend a fundraising event for the South Carolina Democratic Party soon.

Harris also criticized the policies of her election opponent, Donald Trump , saying he is “the first US president since World War II who doesn’t believe in international alliances.”

She also called the US operation against Iran a “war of choice” and expressed concern about the possible weakening of voting rights in the country.

This includes, in particular, a potential revision of the rules prohibiting discriminatory practices during voting, ensuring the representation of minorities in electoral districts.
