The foreign ministries of Kazakhstan and Turkey expressed protest and concern over the recent attacks on the oil terminal in the port of Novorossiysk and sanctioned Russian tankers in the Black Sea.

The press services of the foreign policy departments released the corresponding statements.

The Kazakh Foreign Ministry noted that the attack on the Caspian Pipeline Consortium facilities marked the third time that purely civilian infrastructure had been damaged. They emphasized that such incidents “harm bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Ukraine” and called on Kyiv to take measures to prevent a recurrence of such situations.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry also expressed serious concern over the attacks on oil tankers in the Black Sea. Ministry spokesman Ondcu Keceli emphasized that the incidents occurred in Turkey’s exclusive economic zone and created “significant risks to the safety of shipping, life, property, and the environment in the region.”

Official Kyiv has not yet publicly commented on the reaction of Ankara and Astana.

As a reminder, Sea Baby naval drones, developed by the Security Service of Ukraine , struck two sanctioned oil tankers belonging to the Russian shadow fleet—KAIRO and VIRAT—in the Black Sea. The operation was jointly conducted by the 13th Main Directorate of Military Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Ukrainian Navy.
