Kharkiv metro is not working after the Russian attack: what is known

Today, December 24, the movement of metro trains in Kharkiv was temporarily suspended.
This was reported by the press service of the municipal enterprise “Kharkiv Metro”.
“Due to technical reasons, train traffic on the metro lines has been temporarily suspended. The resumption of train traffic will be announced later,” the post says.
The metro stop was preceded by explosions in the suburbs of Kharkiv. The Air Force warned of high-speed targets in the city.
The head of the Kharkiv OVA, Oleg Synegubov, confirmed the strikes and noted that the consequences of the attack are being established.
Ukrainian services are currently working to ensure security and restore metro traffic.
As a reminder, the Kyiv City State Administration explained how public transport in Kyiv will operate in the event of large-scale power outages. The city administration said whether they are ready to replace the metro, trolleybuses and trams with buses, how much transport they can attract and whether it will be enough to transport passengers.
