This morning, British law enforcement officers detained the younger brother of King Charles III, the former Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

This was reported by the BBC.

As the publication notes, vehicles without identification marks were spotted near Andrew’s home in the morning, probably police cars.

A member of the royal family is suspected of abuse of public office.

Thames Valley Police said the man was arrested after a “thorough assessment”. Officers have launched an investigation and are also carrying out searches at at least two locations – Berkshire and Norfolk.

“We will not be releasing the name of the arrested man, in line with national guidelines. Please also remember that this case is currently ongoing, so caution should be exercised with any publications to avoid contempt of court,” the police statement said.

The former prince is currently in custody. Law enforcement officials have promised to reveal more details “at the appropriate time.”

It is worth noting that Andrew was previously stripped of all his titles . He is accused of having ties to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
