Kiss co-founder and guitarist Paul Frehley has died.
Paul Daniel (Ace) Frehley, co-founder, guitarist and one of the iconic members of the American rock band Kiss, has died at the age of 75.
Variety reports this, citing a letter from Paul Fraley’s family.
Frehley died from injuries sustained in a fall last month, according to his family.
“We are completely heartbroken and despairing. In his final moments, we were fortunate to surround him with love, care, soothing words, thoughts, prayers, and intentions as he left this world,” the family’s letter reads.
Frehley’s bandmates offered their condolences, calling him “an essential and irreplaceable rock soldier” during Kiss’s most defining moments.
Ace Frehley co-founded Kiss in 1973 along with Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, and Peter Criss. He contributed many of the guitar parts and the “Spaceman” stage persona, making him one of the most famous musicians in rock history.
