Russian dictator Vladimir Putin did not hand over any documents containing Moscow’s proposals for resolving the war against Ukraine to US presidential envoy Steve Witkoff, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said after their meeting.
This is evidenced by Peskov’s comment to Russian propagandists.
At the same time, the Kremlin spokesman said that Moscow is noticing an intensification of diplomatic contacts in Europe regarding the war in Ukraine.
“We are seeing increased activity in some European capitals trying to understand what is happening,” Peskov said.
According to him, at the same time, Russia does not hear statements about its readiness for negotiations that would take into account its interests.
As a reminder, US President’s Special Representative Steve Witkoff met with Vladimir Putin in Moscow. Among the main topics of the talks were the possibility of a ceasefire in Ukraine, the resumption of trilateral contacts between Kyiv, Washington and Moscow, and the prospects for economic cooperation between the US and Russia.
As reported, negotiations between Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and US President’s special representative Steve Witkoff have concluded in St. Petersburg. The parties discussed a possible peaceful settlement of the war in Ukraine for about three hours.
Later, US Presidential Special Envoy Steve Witkoff announced that the US, Ukraine and Russia would continue peace talks in a trilateral format at a technical level . The American side called the previous meetings constructive and announced further work on a peace agreement.
