Kremlin wants to create a “people’s republic” in one of NATO countries – media

A propaganda campaign has intensified in Russia to create a separate republic on the territory of Estonia.

This was reported by the Bild newspaper.

A campaign to create a “Narva People’s Republic” in Estonia is gaining momentum on Russian social networks.

As noted, this development may indicate that the Kremlin is preparing to attack Estonia.

It is worth noting that Narva is a border city with a population of 50,000 people, about 90% of whom are Russian-speaking.

At the same time, according to Estonian intelligence, in 2025 the Russian Federation increased ammunition production, which means preparations for a new offensive operation outside Ukraine.

“For the Kremlin, maintaining these stocks is almost certainly a critical element of planning for potential future conflicts,” the 2026 report states .
