“Kryvyi Rih gang”: why Bankova intensified pressure on the opposition

The State Bureau of Investigation and other law enforcement agencies have become organs of pressure from the Bankovaya Party on the opposition and critics of the current government, in particular Volodymyr Kudrytskyi and Andriy Kobolev. Against this background, individuals close to the President of Ukraine from “95 Quarter” continue to create “pocket structures” that earn huge sums from defense procurement.

This opinion was expressed on the air of “Pryamoye” by diplomat and presenter Dmitry Chekalkin.

“Our State Bureau of Investigation and other law enforcement agencies have turned into pressure bodies, either into the opposition or into those who criticize the current government from the standpoint of their professional knowledge. In particular, Mr. Kudrytsky, one of the most experienced Ukrainian government officials, as well as Andriy Kobolev, the former head of Naftogaz, who also came to his defense, as well as other government officials who fell under this roller coaster of the “state bureau of repression”… And this cannot but worry not only the healthy Ukrainian society, but also our Western partners, for whom it will be increasingly difficult to justify the huge multi-billion sums that they allocate to help Ukraine,” Chekalkin noted.

According to him, against the backdrop of the persecution of the opposition, the current government is creating “pocket structures” associated with “95 Quarter”, which earn huge sums from defense procurement.

“This is not just pressure on the Ukrainian opposition, it is a threat to the future stability of our financial system. The same Danes, after this scandal with the “Flamindians” broke out, when the structure that the day before yesterday was engaged in casting and selecting locations for filming “Quarter 95″ or building concrete structures on the streets, suddenly bypassed all Ukrainian engineers, rocket engineers, developers and became the exclusive recipient of billions of dollars. Out of thin air, they created some kind of pocket structure that is permeated with Zelensky’s former friends and partners, as is the case in other companies that have joined the construction of drones,” the diplomat explains.

“The same director, producer and actor of “Servant of the People”, Russian citizen Kiryushchenko, suddenly became an energy engineer, and electricity is supplied through him. And now the drone manufacturer receives sums, earning hundreds of thousands of hryvnias every day. A person who five years ago had no idea about anything except television projects. It is especially unfortunate that this person, who at one time so pompously declared that there would be no nepotism,” Chekalkin emphasized.

In addition, he commented on the corruption scandal in the State Service for Special Communications , noting that the “curator” of the relevant direction remains Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, to whom this structure is actually subordinate.

“There have been enough scandals with Mr. Fedorov. Let me remind you of his correspondence with the former first assistant to the president, Mr. Shefir. It was through his efforts that a ninth-grade student at the Kryvyi Rih school was once accepted into the KVN team “Kryvyi Rih Shpana”, where Zelensky was taken as a dancer. So, Shefir corresponded with Fedorov, and he reported that there was still 390 thousand left for the boat farms…” – recalls Dmytro Chekalkin.

We will remind, the former executive director of NPC Ukrenergo Volodymyr Kudrytskyi became a subject of an investigation conducted by the State Bureau of Investigation . Investigators are checking his involvement in abuse of office and misappropriation of state company funds. The check concerns a possible artificial increase in the volume of deforestation and overestimation of the cost of work during the construction of energy highways.

Later, it became known that the State Bureau of Investigation raised new suspicions against businessman Ihor Hrynkevich, who is currently in custody, and detained the former head of Ukrenergo Volodymyr Kudrytsky in the Lviv region . He is accused of fraud on a particularly large scale and legalization of funds obtained by criminal means.

On October 29, the Pechersk Court of Kyiv chose a preventive measure for Kudrytskyi – he was sent to custody for two months, until December 26, with the possibility of bail in the amount of 13 million 730 thousand hryvnias. On October 30, bail was posted for the former head of Ukrenergo in the amount of almost 14 million hryvnias.
