Kyiv away from the negotiating table: US discusses NATO deal with Russia

The Americans, and perhaps some Europeans, are discussing a new document with Russia – between NATO and Russia.

This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

The Ukrainian leader noted that it is important for him that the issue of Ukraine’s possible membership in NATO be discussed together with Kyiv.

“We need to discuss not only with the Russians, but also with us, because this concerns our country. Although they can do it without our participation. Perhaps we don’t know something yet. In any case, we will respond to any unexpected actions if they occur,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

As reported, according to four NATO diplomats, the US under Donald Trump is pressuring the Alliance to scale back many of its overseas operations , including ending a key mission in Iraq.
