Kyiv hosts European politicians on the fourth anniversary of the invasion: who came?
On Tuesday, February 24, on the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, a number of European leaders arrived in Kyiv.

Thus, the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Council António Costa, the Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenković, the Prime Minister of Latvia Evika Silinė, the Prime Minister of Estonia Kristen Michal, the Prime Minister of Iceland Kristrun Frostdóttir, the Minister of Defense of Lithuania Robertas Kaunas, the Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen, the Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson, the Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre, and the President of Finland Alexander Stubb arrived in Ukraine.
In addition, many countries and organizations are represented by officials at a different level.
The President of the European Commission wrote on her social networks: “In Kyiv for the tenth time since the start of the war. To confirm that Europe unwaveringly supports Ukraine financially, militarily and during this harsh winter.”
She said she is in Kyiv on the fourth anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion to “underscore our unwavering commitment to Ukraine’s just struggle.”
“And to send a clear signal to both the Ukrainian people and the aggressor: we will not retreat until peace is restored. Peace on Ukraine’s terms,” von der Leyen emphasized.
President of the European Council Costa noted that the purpose of the trip to Kyiv is “to ensure a just and lasting peace in Ukraine.”
Let us remind you that today, February 24, marks four years since Russian troops launched a large-scale offensive on Ukraine.
