Kyiv is ready to consider proposals from all investors for additional generation – Panteleev

Kyiv is interested in attracting all investors willing to build additional generating capacity.

This was announced on October 22 by Kyiv City State Administration Deputy Chairman Petro Panteleyev during a meeting of the parliamentary Temporary Investigative Commission on Population Safety and the Implementation of Comprehensive Sustainability Plans, chaired by Lesia Zaburanna.

“We are ready to provide this opportunity to all organizations wishing to install cogeneration units in Kyiv,” Panteleev noted.

According to Panteleev, the city has approved applications from other companies for the placement of generating units and is ready to consider new proposals. The official did not disclose the exact number of such companies during the discussion.

The issue of investor access to the sites was discussed in connection with allegations made public in a ZN.UA article regarding the alleged granting of exclusive rights to the company “FIRE ENERGY” to build cogeneration plants in Kyiv.

Following the discussion, the VSK and the relevant committee agreed to consider appeals from companies reporting restrictions on the implementation of additional generation projects in Kyiv and to facilitate the elimination of potential obstacles.
