Kyiv metro station damaged by shelling: details

Parts of the ceiling collapsed at two metro stations in Kyiv — “Teremky” and “Darnytsia”.

This was reported by the company on social networks and the representative of the metro press service, Oksana Nykyforuk, in a comment to “Ukrainian Pravda”.

It is known that the previous evening, at around 10:30 p.m., some parts of the suspended ceiling at one of the station’s exits at Teremki were damaged. This occurred as a result of previous structural damage caused by Russian attacks.

“Some of the defects were hidden and were not noticeable during visual inspections. At the same time, preparatory work was carried out for further partial repair of the exit,” the metro explained.

As noted, there were no injuries. Experts are currently conducting an inspection of the suspended ceiling and the station’s underpass.

In addition, there is damage at the Chernihivska station. A piece of plaster fell from the ceiling there, but there were no injuries.

The cause of the incident is currently being determined.
