Kyiv resident was transporting a Shahed drone in his car: police opened an investigation

In the capital, a 30-year-old Kyiv resident was transporting a Shahed drone on the roof of his car, which, according to law enforcement, had a depleted warhead. Police seized the drone for inspection and are investigating all the circumstances of the incident.

This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv police.

Law enforcement officers learned about the incident from social media, where a photo of a car with a UAV attached to the roof, parked in one of the capital’s residential complexes, appeared. An investigative and operational group from the Darnytsia Police Department, along with explosives technicians, arrived at the scene.

After inspection, experts confirmed that the device found was a Shahed drone, but it did not pose a danger because the warhead had been deactivated.

According to police, the driver of the car is a 30-year-old local resident who heads a public organization. The man explained that he intended to donate the drone to a museum.

The drone has now been seized for examination, and law enforcement officers are establishing all the details of the incident.
