Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that when US President’s special representative Keith Kellogg comes to Ukraine, the Russians do not carry out massive air strikes.
He said this during a speech at the annual meeting of the Yalta European Strategy.
Zelensky, alluding to Kellogg, assured that the United States has air defense no worse than the Patriot systems.
“When you are in Kyiv, Keith Kellogg, the people of Kyiv can definitely get some sleep. I would like you to travel to all the cities of Ukraine. We would like a few more such American systems for our country,” he commented on the visit of Trump’s special representative.
At the same time, Zelenskyy said that he was ready to grant Kellogg Ukrainian citizenship and an apartment if this would force the Kremlin to end the war.
The President explained that the Russians do not attack en masse when American officials arrive in Ukraine, because the United States has influence over the Russian Federation.
In his opinion, this would also work with a representative of China, however, Beijing is not interested in a peaceful resolution of the war.
“Probably, there is also an opportunity in China for the Russians to stop killing. But the world did not see China’s desire to implement this with regard to Russia. China called for a ceasefire in this war and for the non-expansion of this war, but Putin did nothing. And this does not prevent China from hospitably receiving Putin and talking with him about the most important thing – longevity,” Zelensky noted.
Recall, last time Keith Kellogg came to Kyiv on a working visit on August 24. He took part in the celebrations on the occasion of Independence Day.
It is worth noting that Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded US President’s Special Representative Keith Kellogg with the Order of Merit, 1st degree.
