Kyiv suffered a massive blow: there are deaths, dozens of injuries, and extensive destruction

On the night of Thursday, July 31, Russian forces launched a combined attack on Kyiv, using missiles and drones. The strike caused significant damage in several areas of the capital, with fatalities and dozens of injuries.

This was reported by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko.

In Svyatoshynskyi district, the entrance of a multi-storey building was completely destroyed, resulting in a fire. In Solomyanskyi district, residential buildings were damaged, cars were destroyed, fires were recorded in non-residential premises, and a building of one of the higher educational institutions was also hit. In Holosiivskyi district, a school and a kindergarten were damaged. In Shevchenkivskyi district, the blast wave broke out windows in a medical institution.

In total, the effects of the shelling were recorded at at least 27 locations across the city.

As of this morning, according to official information, at least four people have died in Kyiv. The number of injured has increased to 52 people, including children. More than 29 people have been hospitalized with various injuries. Several residents were rescued from under the rubble. Police officers are also among the injured.

Rescue services continue to eliminate the consequences of the attack and provide assistance to the victims.

As a reminder, Russian occupiers attacked the Polohivskyi district of Zaporizhia region , as a result of which private houses were destroyed, and a 78-year-old man was injured.
