The Silpo and Fora chains have experienced supply disruptions for certain products following Russian attacks on distribution centers. Store shelves have been partially emptied, and the companies are restructuring logistics to restore stable supply.

This was reported by representatives of the Silpo and Fora chains.

As is known, on August 5, Russian troops struck the logistics infrastructure of retail chains. The attacks damaged or destroyed distribution centers, forcing companies to reorganize supply routes and seek alternative options for product delivery.

Shoppers have started posting photos of empty shelves in stores, with reports of a reduction in the number of fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products, meat, fish, canned goods and some beverages.

Silpo confirmed that there were problems with the goods, but did not name a specific list of products or regions that were most affected by the disruptions.

“At this time, there is a general problem that we have already informed our Guests about. Unfortunately, we do not have information on the specific list of products that are missing, when exactly they will appear, or in which regions their availability will be restored. Our management is making every effort to resolve this situation as soon as possible,” the network said.

Silpo also noted that 6 network employees were killed in the attack, two of them at one of its distribution centers. Another 4 people died at the train station where they were going to return home from another distribution center. Another 20 people were injured.

Fora reported that important warehouses with products were destroyed due to the Russian attack. As a result, the selection of goods in stores may be temporarily smaller, and some items may be missing.

“Due to the Russian attack, important warehouses with products were destroyed. Because of this, the selection of goods in stores may temporarily be significantly smaller, and individual items may be missing,” Fora explained.

The company noted that it is restructuring its supply chain, changing delivery routes, and attracting additional partners. The chain’s stores continue to operate, and products are being delivered via alternative routes.

“Fora” also warned about temporary changes in the assortment of “Fora Cafe” establishments. Some dishes may be unavailable, and certain promotions on hot dogs, pizza, shawarma, burgers, and cold coffee have been suspended.

By the way, as a result of the Russian attack on the night of August 5 , a warehouse with finished products of the company JTI Ukraine was destroyed in the Kyiv region . Also damaged was the goods of “Imperial Brands Ukraine”, which were stored in the warehouses of partners.

At the same time, the massive Russian attack on the night of August 5 affected the logistics infrastructure of several large companies . PUMA, INTERTOP, and Toyota Ukraine reported the loss of warehouses, and the Silpo chain confirmed the death of six employees.
