Kyiv plans to limit the increase in taxi prices during air raids, metro stops, and other transportation problems. Under an agreement with the government, transportation services will be able to increase the cost of trips by no more than 75% of the regular fare.

This was announced by Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky.

According to him, the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Ministry of Economy have signed a memorandum with the services Bolt, Uklon, Uber, and OPTI. The agreement should prevent a sharp increase in the cost of trips in situations when public transport is not working or traffic in the city is complicated.

In particular, the new rules will apply to situations similar to the one that arose after the attack on the South Bridge on October 27.

As the Prime Minister explained, if under normal conditions a trip costs 200 hryvnias, during transport restrictions its cost should not exceed 350 hryvnias. If the standard fare is 300 hryvnias, the maximum price will reach 525 hryvnias.

At the same time, passengers will still be able to independently offer a price for the trip, but within the established limits.

The arrangement will be in effect for at least two hours after the red level air alert is lifted or until normal public transport and bridge traffic are restored.

The government also calls on other transportation services to join the initiative and promises to monitor compliance with the agreements.
