Kyiv will have Andriy Parubiy Street: survey participants in the Kyiv Digital application supported the EU initiative

Andriy Parubiy Street will appear in Kyiv. This initiative was supported by participants in a public survey in the “Kyiv Digital” application.

This was announced by the leader of “European Solidarity” in the Kyiv City Council, Maryna Poroshenko.

According to her, the initiative to name the street near the Verkhovna Rada after Andriy Parubiy was supported by 57% of participants in the survey, which was held on the portal and in the “Kyiv Digital” application. This concerns a section along Mariinsky Park – from Hrushevskoho Street to Parkova Road.

“I want to thank everyone who voted for Andriy Parubiy Street to appear in the heart of Ukraine,” Maryna Poroshenko wrote on social media.

She emphasized that Parubiy played an important role in the development of Ukrainian parliamentarism, the events of the Revolution of Dignity, and the formation of national identity. According to her, the new name of the street will become a symbol of memory and gratitude to the people who fought for the freedom and statehood of Ukraine.

The initiative was also supported by the fifth President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko. He thanked everyone who took part in the survey.

“Sincere gratitude to everyone who voted YES. This will be a worthy tribute to the memory of Andriy – a true Hero of Ukraine,” Poroshenko wrote.

It was previously reported that the investigation received new key evidence in the case of the murder of MP Andriy Parubiy.

As a reminder, the court extended the preventive measure of detention for a 52-year-old resident of Lviv, who is suspected of the murder of Ukrainian MP Andriy Parubiy.
