Ukrainian intelligence officers have eliminated a Russian officer who was involved in the launches of Kalibr cruise missiles over the territory of Ukraine. This is Captain 3rd Rank Alexander Polovkov.
This was reported by the Czech project Russian Officers Killed in Ukraine , which tracks the losses of the Russian army.
Polovkov died as a result of a strike by the Main Intelligence Directorate on a small missile ship of project 21631 “Buyan-M” in the Sea of Azov. The operation was carried out by Ukrainian intelligence back in August 2025, but Russia concealed the officer’s death for a long time.
The project published a photo of a memorial stele confirming Polovkov’s liquidation. According to available information, the strike was carried out by the GUR “Primary” special unit using strike drones in the Temryutskaya Bay area near the occupied Crimea.
During the attack, the Kalibriv carrier, which was in the area of potential missile launch, was damaged and left the combat duty area.
Alexander Polovkov served as an assistant mechanic of the division of the 41st missile boat brigade of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. This brigade has been participating in the war against Ukraine since 2022 and carried out missile strikes from the sea.
It was previously reported that the Security Service of Ukraine conducted a unique operation, using drones to hit a submarine in a Russian port.
