Law enforcement officers detained organizers of tax evasion schemes in several regions

The SBU and the National Police eliminated eight mobilization evasion schemes in various regions of Ukraine and detained their organizers.

This was reported by the press center of the SBU.

According to the investigation, the suspects offered conscripts to avoid conscription for $2,000 to $17,500. They produced forged documents or helped them illegally travel abroad outside checkpoints.

In the Kyiv region, law enforcement officers exposed the leadership of the state urban planning institute. Officials were registering “evaders” for work in order to receive reservations. In fact, these people did not work, but received salaries from the budget.

Separately, a former Kyiv City State Administration official was detained for hiring men at a municipal enterprise for money to avoid mobilization. He was caught while receiving the money.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, doctors sold fictitious diagnoses and issued disability certificates. To do this, they hospitalized “clients” and even performed unfounded surgeries.

In Poltava region, a surgeon helped six men obtain disability and be deregistered. A middleman who was selling medical certificates was also detained.

In the Lviv region, a military man promised to arrange a “reservation” through a medical institution, and another person involved offered to arrange a fictitious guardianship to avoid conscription.

In Cherkasy region, an organizer of illegal trafficking of evaders to the EU was exposed. He provided instruction and remotely accompanied them during the crossing outside the checkpoint.

The suspects have already been informed of suspicion under several articles of the Criminal Code. They face up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.

It was previously reported that the military counterintelligence of the SBU, together with the command of the Armed Forces, detained a serviceman of the Unmanned Systems Forces, who worked simultaneously for the FSB of the Russian Federation and Belarusian intelligence.
