Law enforcement officers did not detain businessman Vasyl Vesely and did not file any suspicions against him.
This was reported by the Babel publication with reference to comments from the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the publication, on June 10, the National Police searched businessman Vesely as part of a case they are investigating.
The SBU provided operational support for the case, but the investigation is being conducted by the National Police.
“The prosecutor’s office told us that investigative actions were carried out as part of an investigation under Article 209 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – legalization of property obtained by criminal means,” the publication reports.
In particular, it was not possible to contact businessman Vasyl Vesely himself – his phone is currently turned off, possibly due to being seized during a search.
