Law enforcement officers exposed four dealers who were selling escape from mobilization

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the National Police have uncovered new schemes to evade mobilization and detained four organizers in different regions of the country. Law enforcement officers found that the dealers were charging between $2,000 and $15,000 for “helping” men cross the border illegally.

This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.

In the Odessa region, security forces caught two local residents who were transporting evaders separately to the border, bypassing checkpoints. The clients were supposed to cross the border themselves according to instructions they received in advance. One of the organizers even tried to use a fake military ID to pass through checkpoints without hindrance.

A 45-year-old security guard was detained in the Dnipropetrovsk region, who set up a mini-printing house at home and sold fake disability certificates for conscripts.

In the Kyiv region, law enforcement officers stopped a man who was organizing routes for evaders to the Odessa region, from where they were to illegally cross into Transnistria.

Investigators have charged all four suspects with illegal border smuggling. All have been remanded in custody. They could face up to 9 years in prison with confiscation of property.

It was previously reported that the Security Service of Ukraine prevented a series of terrorist attacks in Kyiv that were being prepared by a resident of the Russian FSB.

As a reminder, the police exposed a man who promised to “employ” people in one of the law enforcement agencies for $25,000.
