Lawyer Golovan explained why the authorities are delaying the trial of Poroshenko’s lawsuit: there were no grounds for sanctions

The authorities are artificially delaying the trial in the Supreme Court on Petro Poroshenko’s claim regarding illegal sanctions. At the same time, the authorities did not provide any legal grounds for applying sanctions in the court session, noted lawyer Golovan after the session.

He said that the central authorities, in particular the President of Ukraine, still do not have electronic offices, so all materials on the case are sent to them by mail, which they simply do not pick up from the department.

“Our president and the National Security and Defense Council do not have electronic offices. And therefore, we are forced, as in the 19th century, to send them materials by mail, and accordingly, mail has already been digitized, therefore, on the mail website we see that in the case, for example, from the Ministry of Economy and the Cabinet of Ministers, our materials were received by proxy, but in the case of the president, but they did not receive them, but they did not receive them, but they did not receive them, but they did not receive them. not received,” the lawyer says.

He also recalled that, according to the Code of Administrative Procedure, government officials must prove the legality of their actions and provide all grounds for imposing sanctions against Poroshenko.

“The defendant in this case is the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. The judge asked the defendant’s representative whether all the evidence of the legitimacy of the sanctions had been provided. Everyone heard that no answer was given. We can already say that no justification for the sanctions has been provided by the President of Ukraine,” the lawyer stated.

“We can already say that there are all grounds for recognizing this Decree as illegal. The future, of course, will show, but everyone saw it,” Golovan emphasized.

Representatives of 11 diplomatic institutions, journalists from Ukrainian and foreign media, public activists, and people’s deputies attended the court hearing today. The next court hearing will take place on July 23 at 11:00.

Let us recall that on July 17, the next session of the Cassation Chamber of the Supreme Court began on Petro Poroshenko’s claim regarding illegal sanctions .

Subsequently, Petro Poroshenko, during his speech in the Supreme Court, where his claim regarding the illegal Decree on sanctions is being considered, stated that the government is entangled in its own lies .
