Leaders of four countries and the head of the European Council arrived in Kyiv for Independence Day

On Monday, August 24, Prime Ministers of Great Britain Andy Burnham and Luxembourg Luke Frieden, Presidents of Moldova and Estonia Maia Sandu and Alar Karis, as well as President of the European Council António Costa arrived in Kyiv.
This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andriy Sybiga.
According to him, European leaders came to the capital to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the restoration of independence with Ukraine.
“For Ukraine, independence is not an abstract idea. We defended it despite all the difficulties,” Sybiga noted.
The minister emphasized that the support of partners helps Ukraine defend itself and preserve its freedom.
“Today, Ukrainians know exactly who their true friends are,” he added.
