Leipzig airport attack: Germany announces tough measures against Russia

Germany has announced tough measures in response to the Russian attack on planes at Leipzig airport. Berlin plans to close the Russian consulate in Bonn and the Russian House cultural center in Berlin.
This was reported by journalist Andriy Tsaplienko, referring to statements by German Foreign Minister Johann Wadeful.
In addition, Germany will tighten entry controls for Russian citizens and summon the Russian ambassador for explanations. Berlin also plans to take additional measures in the area of intelligence services to strengthen its own defense capabilities and deter Russia.
At the same time, Germany stated that it would continue to support Ukraine.
As a reminder,Germany officially stated that Russia was responsible for the attempted sabotage at Leipzig/Halle airport . In early August, a drone with explosives was discovered there near a Ukrainian cargo plane.
As previously reported, two planes were diverted from Leipzig/Halle Airport after an unidentified drone was spotted near the airport . The incident occurred on August 26, but was only reported later.
In addition, several improvised explosive and incendiary devices were discovered in the federal state of Brandenburg, near the Jenschwalde coal-fired power plant. Law enforcement is investigating a possible attempt to damage energy infrastructure.
