Lithuania transfers new energy aid package to Ukraine: details

Lithuania has provided Ukraine with a new aid package to restore its energy infrastructure. Lithuanian grid operator Litgrid has assembled equipment in various regions of the country and delivered it to Ukrainian energy companies.

This was reported by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine .

The new cargo will help speed up repairs to substations and transmission lines damaged by Russian attacks.

The package includes critical components for the restoration of substations and networks – equipment without which it is impossible to maintain the stable operation of the power system. It will be used for operational repairs and strengthening the resilience of power networks in the regions.

This is the sixth support package from Litgrid. Previously, the company transferred autotransformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors, relay protection equipment, current and voltage transformers, surge arresters, insulators, and other system-critical network elements.

As previously reported,the Nordic and Baltic countries announced a new support package for Ukraine worth $500 million , which will be used to purchase American weapons and ammunition.

As a reminder, Denmark announced the 28th package of military assistance to Ukraine, worth over $217 million.
