Ukrainian forces continue offensive operations in eastern Ukraine, particularly near Pokrovsk and Dobropillya. Analysts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) note local successes by Ukrainian units and acknowledge logistical difficulties for Russian forces.
This is stated in the ISW report.
The situation in eastern Ukraine remains tense but under control. Ukrainian forces are making progress in several areas, with gradual shifts in the front line in favor of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the Pokrovskoye direction, Ukrainian forces continue offensive operations, improving their positions. According to Russian military bloggers, Ukrainian troops have advanced to the northern outskirts of Leontovychi, located south of Pokrovskoye.
At the same time, the Russian side claims its own limited advances, in particular near Rodynske, north of Pokrovsk. During October 18–19, Russian forces carried out a series of attacks in this area – near Pokrovsk, Rodynske, Novoekonomichesky, Myrnograd, Sukhoi Yar, Lysivka, as well as in the directions of Zvirovo, Kotlyne, Vdale, and Molodetske.
Analysts note that Russian military bloggers acknowledge serious logistical problems due to the active use of Ukrainian drones in the Razino and Boykivka areas.

Meanwhile, in the Dobropil direction, Ukrainian forces advanced south of Shakhovo, a settlement east of Dobropil. In response, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian Armed Forces positions near Shakhovo, Ivanovka, and Zapovedne.

ISW analysts concluded that Ukrainian units are demonstrating stable pressure on the enemy, continuing to maintain the initiative in certain sections of the front.
It was previously reported that Russian occupation forces have increased the number of air strikes in the southern regions of Ukraine.
We remind you that the Russian occupation forces are training new assault groups to intensify attacks on the front in the Zaporizhia region.
