Logistical trap: how the Armed Forces of Ukraine blocked the “road to Crimea”

The Ukrainian military is systematically cutting off the occupied Crimea from communication, which is provoking a serious crisis in the supply of fuel and food. Due to logistical problems, strict restrictions have been introduced on the peninsula.

Military-political analyst Dmitry Snegirev reported on the air of “Pryamoy” that after the repeated attack on the Chongar Bridge and the liquidation of the last railway ferry “Slavyanin”, the transport arteries of the occupiers were under threat, and the only vulnerable corridor remained the Kerch Bridge.

“Crimea has found itself in a logistical trap. What we have repeatedly talked about is that Crimea is quite logistically vulnerable. Only the Crimean Bridge remains, but note that here, too, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are conducting a comprehensive operation to destroy the air defense systems that cover the Crimean Bridge and destroy the vessels of the Black Sea Fleet,” Snegirev noted.

According to him, due to logistical problems, strict restrictions were introduced on the peninsula: gasoline is sold up to 20 liters per week using QR codes, and sugar is given out in two kilograms per person. This situation provoked panic and led to mass vacation cancellations – the number of canceled hotel reservations exceeded 40% per week.

As a reminder, in annexed Crimea and Sevastopol, restrictions have been imposed on the sale of certain food products . In some supermarkets, customers are allowed no more than three bottles of vegetable oil and three packs of pasta in one hand.

At the same time, the Russian command has banned the use of the route for military transportation , which connects the Rostov region of the Russian Federation with the temporarily occupied Crimea via Mariupol, Berdyansk, and Melitopol. The occupiers are forced to transfer logistics to alternative routes.

As reported, drones of the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces struck a bridge in the Chongar area , which connects temporarily occupied Crimea with the Kherson region. The attack damaged the bridge deck, causing the occupation authorities to temporarily block traffic.
