The self-proclaimed President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko , has responded to statements from Ukraine that the Oreshnik missile system deployed on the territory of Belarus can be considered a legitimate military target.

This was reported by the Belarusian state agency BELTA.

Lukashenko called such statements absurd and stated that Belarus does not plan to attack other countries.

According to him , Minsk allegedly does not aim to strike Kyiv , Warsaw , or Vilnius, but warned that Belarus is capable of responding in the event of threats.

I’m not saying that tomorrow we will swing this “ Oreshnik” around Vilnius, Warsaw or Kyiv . God forbid . This is not our task. We need to protect our country,” Lukashenko said .

At the same time , he stated that Belarus has means capable of hitting targets at a distance of 70 to 200 kilometers.

Lukashenko also added that if other countries consider objects on the territory of Belarus to be legitimate targets, Minsk will react accordingly.

Earlier, it was reported that the self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, in response to journalists, stated that Minsk could receive a maximum of ten Oreshnik complexes from the Kremlin.

Recall that during his trips to Belarus, US President’s special representative John Cole discussed not only political issues with self-proclaimed President Alexander Lukashenko , but also the topic of weight loss and an American drug for obesity.
