Self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that he recently met with representatives of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. According to him, through them he conveyed to the Ukrainian leader a call to “negotiate” and not “get heated.”

This was reported by the Belarusian Telegram channel “Pul Pervogo”.

According to Lukashenko, he warned that in the event of attempts to drag Belarus into the war, “the nature of the war will instantly change.”

He also claims that in response, representatives of the Ukrainian side allegedly reported that the President of Ukraine understands this.

“Let’s negotiate, guys. We need to negotiate substantively. We don’t need to get heated… We don’t want to go to war with Ukrainians. Our position is peaceful, but in any situation we will stand by Russia,” Lukashenko said.

Lukashenko was probably referring to Volodymyr Zelensky’s recent statement regarding Russian repeaters deployed in Belarus. On June 19, the Ukrainian president said that this equipment is used by Russian troops to guide strike drones over Ukraine, and called on Minsk to dismantle or disable it.

Already on June 24, Zelenskyy announced that these repeaters had stopped working.

The Ukrainian authorities have not yet confirmed Lukashenko’s statement about the meeting with the president’s representatives and have not commented on his words.

The day before, the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Robert “Magyar” Brovdi, stated that Ukraine had already identified the first 500 targets in Belarus in the event of Minsk’s direct entry into the war on the side of Russia.

Subsequently, Alexander Lukashenko commented on the statement of the commander of the Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert Brovdy, about identifying 500 targets in Belarus in case of invasion . In response, he stated that Belarus had its own targets and assured that Minsk was not preparing to attack Ukraine.

It was previously reported that Ukraine is currently not recording a concentration of troops near the border with Belarus, but the threat from this direction remains.

Recall that Russia is considering several scenarios for new offensive operations in the Chernihiv-Kyiv direction, which may begin no earlier than the fall of 2026. To this end, the Kremlin, according to sources, is planning a new wave of mobilization of 100,000 people.
