Lukoil refinery, Taman port and aircraft factory in Crimea: SBU reported new strikes

The Security Service of Ukraine, together with the Defense Forces, carried out a new series of strikes on Russian military, logistical, and fuel infrastructure. The aircraft factory in temporarily occupied Crimea, the port in Taman, and one of the largest oil refineries in the Russian Federation in Volgograd were hit.

This was reported to the SBU.

According to the special service, the operation was carried out within the framework of the implementation of the tasks set by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to reduce the military potential of the aggressor state.

In temporarily occupied Yevpatoria, Ukrainian forces struck two hangars for storing aviation equipment and a production workshop of the Yevpatoria Aviation Plant.

The infrastructure of the Taman port in the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation was also hit. After the attack, a large-scale fire broke out on the territory of the facility.

In addition, the SBU confirmed the successful destruction of the Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka oil refinery. This is one of the largest oil refineries in Russia, capable of processing about 15 million tons of oil annually and producing gasoline, diesel, and aviation fuel.

The special service emphasized that systematic attacks on enterprises of the defense-industrial complex, oil refining and logistics infrastructure of the Russian Federation are aimed at weakening the capabilities of the Russian military machine and will continue in the future.

It was previously reported that on the night of July 31, drones attacked several facilities in Russia. The Volgograd Oil Refinery, as well as the logistics complexes of the Wildberries marketplace in the Volgograd region and Tatarstan, were hit. The attacks caused fires at the facilities.
