Over the past few days, Lviv has received approximately 70% of its monthly precipitation—almost 30 centimeters of snow. Due to the intense snowfall, city utilities have been forced to operate in an enhanced mode.
This was reported by the Lviv City Council.
Throughout the night, equipment and workers continued to clear the streets of the aftermath of the two-day storm. The primary focus of the nighttime cleanup was on main roads to ensure unimpeded access for emergency services and public transportation.
Ninety-four large specialized vehicles and 72 motorized brushes were deployed on the city streets. Municipal workers used 362 cubic meters of de-icing material to coat roads and sidewalks.
