Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi should remember his promises to build a garbage recycling plant, which he still does not have.
This was stated by the Synodal Secretary for Monastic Affairs of the Lviv Archeparchy of the UGCC, Father Justin (Yuriy Boyko), on his Facebook page.
“An event occurred in Lviv that I cannot help but react to. The event was political in nature, but it had its own morality. The fifth President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, came to Lviv and spoke at the Lviv Regional Council. What struck me most was that the representative of the Lviv City Council, Lyubomyr Zubach, was there, who fulfilled a political order. And I have no doubt about that. He opened a poster that mentioned the garbage crisis and said that “Lviv remembers everything,” Father Justin noted.
“In this case, when we say that “Lviv remembers everything,” we must admit that Lviv also remembers the mayor’s promises to build a waste processing plant. But the most important thing I will remember is the death of people at the Hrybovytsky landfill,” he said.
“It would be appropriate to put a cross there to remind future generations of power that delaying the solution to a certain problem entails the death of people,” Father Justin noted.
