French President Emmanuel Macron did not rule out the possibility of contact with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the coming weeks. He stated this in a comment to France 2 television.
BFM reports this.
Responding to a journalist’s question about a potential conversation with the Russian leader, Macron noted that preparations are currently underway to establish such contact in the short term.
The French president emphasized that continued support for Ukraine’s defense remains a priority. “We continue to support Ukraine in its defense efforts. That’s exactly what we’re doing,” Macron emphasized.
As a reminder, officials from some European countries hope to deploy up to 30,000 peacekeepers to Ukraine as part of the deployment of foreign forces following the ceasefire.
As is known, the draft communiqué of the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing noted that the United States will help ensure a ceasefire in Ukraine through intelligence and logistics.
