In October-November 2026, the countries of the Coalition of the Willing will conduct joint large-scale military exercises.
This was stated by French President Emmanuel Macron during a meeting of coalition representatives in Kyiv.
According to the French leader, the exercises are part of the allies’ preparation for further support for Ukraine, including security guarantees after the end of the war.
Macron stressed that joint maneuvers should show the readiness of coalition countries to fulfill their obligations and act in the event of a cessation of hostilities.
He also noted that the issue of security guarantees is one of the key elements of future peace talks.
The countries agreed to hold such exercises during a previous meeting of the Coalition of the Willing in July.
It was reported then that about 1,500 military personnel from Great Britain and France were to arrive in Poland in September to participate in international maneuvers.
Poland’s Deputy Minister of National Defense, Pawel Bejda, stated that during the exercises, the military will, in particular, practice the transfer of personnel and military equipment.
It was previously reported that on Monday, August 24, Prime Ministers of Great Britain Andy Burnham and Luxembourg Luke Frieden, Presidents of Moldova and Estonia Maia Sandu and Alar Karis, as well as President of the European Council António Costa arrived in Kyiv.
