Magnetic storms on May 26: what to expect for Ukrainians

On Tuesday, May 26, geomagnetic activity in Ukraine will remain weak. The K-index is forecast at 2.8, which corresponds to the green level.
This is reported by Meteoagent and the British Geological Survey .
According to expert forecasts, the speed of the solar wind may increase slightly during the night, but will remain at a low level.
The interplanetary magnetic field will also be somewhat disturbed. This will likely be temporary, so geomagnetic activity will remain subdued for the time being.
At the same time, weak magnetic storms are also forecast for May 27 and 28. The K-index on these days is expected to be at 3.7.
Previously, “Pryamiy” reported that the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center announced the first level of danger – yellow – for May 26 due to worsening weather conditions.
