Саккарі vs. Костюк/ колаж: "Прямий"
On Tuesday, October 13, Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk (WTA No. 10) will begin her WTA 1000 tournament in Wuhan. In her second round match, she will face Greece’s Maria Sakkari (WTA No. 35).
The fight will start no earlier than 10:00 Kyiv time.
Marta Kostyuk and Maria Sakkari have played four matches, winning two each. Bookmakers, however, consider the Ukrainian the favorite in the upcoming bout. According to one prediction model, Marta’s probability of victory is approximately 73%.
After a break from competition, Marta is eager to return to her best form. The Ukrainian has a higher ranking and is interested in winning to improve her position in the race for a spot at the WTA Finals, which will take place November 8–15 in Indian Wells.
At the same time, their history suggests this match could be challenging for Marta. Two of their previous four encounters have gone to three sets, so the Ukrainian will have to make a concerted effort to advance to the third round.
