On Friday, September 4, the second racket of Ukraine Marta Kostyuk (WTA No. 11) will meet with “neutral” Kateryna Alexandrova in the third round of the prestigious US Open-2026 tennis tournament.
The match will start no earlier than 18:00 Kyiv time.
In the second round, Marta confidently defeated world number one Sloane Stephens with a score of 6:1, 7:5. Marta has a negative balance with Kateryna Alexandrova so far – two losses in two meetings, but the last time these tennis players met was four years ago.
But since 2022, Marta has taken a huge step forward in her career and is having her best season yet. Her probability of winning is currently estimated at around 75%.
