On Friday, May 29, in the third round of the French Open tennis championship, Roland Garros, a match will take place between Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk (WTA 15) and Swiss athlete Viktoria Golubich (WTA 82).
The fight will start at approximately 12:00 Kyiv time.
In the second round, Marta defeated American Katie Wolyniec in a tough match – 6:7, 6:3, 6:3. If she wins against Golubic, Kostyuk will play the winner of the Polish pairing Linett and Świętek.
Viktoria Golubic is feeling confident at Roland Garros. In the first round, she defeated Hungarian Deva Udvardy 6-0, 6-2, and in the second round, American Alisha Parks 6-2, 6-2. However, unlike Marta, who won tournaments in Rouen and Madrid this year, Golubic hasn’t yet achieved any particular success.
The tennis players have met twice before, and Kostyuk has won each time. Bookmakers are predicting Marta Kostyuk will win this time, too.
