Maryna Poroshenko spoke about the capital’s healthcare system’s preparation for the energy crisis.

Maryna Poroshenko, the leader of the European Solidarity party in the Kyiv City Council and Chair of the Commission on Healthcare, Family, Social, and Veterans Policy, reported on social media that the capital’s medical facilities are prepared to operate during the energy crisis.

“These days have been extremely difficult for our capital: Russian attacks on energy infrastructure have resulted in widespread power outages and interruptions in heating and water supplies in many areas of Kyiv. Hundreds of thousands of people have been left without power, heat, and water in freezing weather,” Poroshenko noted.

“I want to assure you: the capital’s hospitals are operating at full capacity and are ready to help anyone in need. Despite the power supply difficulties, all possible measures have been taken to ensure uninterrupted operation at medical facilities,” the head of the relevant commission wrote.

According to her, mobile boiler stations have been deployed in Kyiv and are already connected to medical facilities across the capital, from clinical hospitals to maternity hospitals and children’s centers. This allows for maintaining comfortable temperatures even in areas temporarily without permanent heating.

“Doctors and medical personnel are working nonstop – they are right there with you, ready to provide assistance. Power workers, utility workers, and rescuers are working 24/7 to restore heat, power, and water. City services are doing everything possible to ensure that medical facilities have independent heat sources and can provide assistance at any time,” writes Maryna Poroshenko.

“The system is working, hospitals are well-equipped, and medical workers are in place. And I am very grateful to everyone who is protecting our health today: doctors, energy workers, and utility workers. I also want to emphasize: the European Solidarity faction team remains in Kyiv and works locally. If you need help, advice, or support, please contact your local deputies. We are here for you and ready to help anyone who needs it. We will walk this difficult path together,” Maryna Poroshenko said.
