Massive energy strike: how the Russians justify the night attack on Ukraine

The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed a massive missile and drone strike carried out on Tuesday, February 3, on several regions of Ukraine.
The ministry’s press service wrote about this on social media.
The occupiers note that they allegedly attacked the Ukrainian military-industrial complex and energy facilities, which are “used in its interests.”
“The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have delivered a massive strike with long-range, ground-based and air-based precision weapons and strike unmanned aerial vehicles,” the report says.
The enemy ministry also announced that it had hit long-range drone storage and assembly sites.
It is stated that “the objectives of the strike were achieved,” and the attack itself was supposedly a response to shelling of civilian objects, however, the Russian ministry did not specify what exactly they meant.
As a reminder, Russian occupation forces have again launched an attack on Kyiv . Destruction and fires have been recorded there, and at least three people have been injured.
It is known that Russian troops carried out a massive missile and drone attack on the Odessa region , as a result of which more than 50 thousand residents of the region were left without electricity.
By the way, the Russians have launched a massive attack on critical infrastructure facilities in Vinnytsia region . The attack resulted in the loss of power to approximately 50 settlements.
It is worth noting that during the night attack , Russian troops fired 71 missiles and 450 strike drones into Ukraine .
