Massive shelling of Kyiv: number of injured up to 87, including children

In Kyiv, two people were killed and 87 people were injured, including three minors, as a result of massive Russian shelling on the night of May 24. Damage to civilian and administrative infrastructure was recorded in 49 locations in the city.

This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service.

The agency stated that as a result of the Russian attack, fires broke out in the capital and residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were damaged.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv, the entrance of a five-story building was destroyed as a result of the impact. Rescuers unblocked the bodies of two dead women from under the rubble.

According to the State Emergency Service, the number of victims after the shelling has increased to 87 people. Among the injured are three minors.

During the elimination of the consequences of the attack, rescuers dismantled 165 square meters of damaged reinforced concrete slabs.

Dog handlers also examined over 100 square meters of territory, and psychologists from the State Emergency Service provided assistance to 112 people.

The State Emergency Service reported that work to eliminate the consequences of the Russian shelling is ongoing.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported on the consequences of Russia’s massive nighttime attack on Kyiv and other cities in Ukraine . The strikes killed 4 people and injured about 100.

As is known, on the night of May 24, Russian troops carried out a large-scale combined attack on Ukraine , using missiles and kamikaze drones. Kyiv suffered the greatest destruction – damage and fires were recorded in all districts of the capital.

By the way, three garages were damaged as a result of the Russian strike with an Oreshnik missile on Bila Tserkva in the Kyiv region.
