Massive shelling of Ukraine: GUR named 13 Russian commanders responsible for attacks

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has published the names of Russian long-range aviation commanders suspected of planning and organizing missile attacks on Ukrainian cities and civilian infrastructure. The published materials provide the names, official positions, and contact details of the suspects.

This is stated in the official statement of the State Administrative Organization.

According to intelligence information, among the individuals revealed are commanders and high-ranking officers directly involved in the attack on civilian objects.

The list of intelligence includes:

  • Lieutenant General Sergey Kobylash — Commander of the Russian Air Force, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces;
  • Major General Sergey Kuvaldin – Commander of Long-Range Aviation;
  • Major General Oleg Pchela – Deputy Commander of Long-Range Aviation;
  • Colonel Serhiy Shevel – Chief of Staff and First Deputy Commander of Long-Range Aviation.

The open data also contains information about the suspects’ places of residence and registration, telephone numbers, email addresses, insurance policy numbers, and tax IDs.

Intelligence emphasized that identifying the enemy’s command structure is a priority and that the collected materials are being transferred to national and international justice mechanisms to bring those responsible to justice.

According to GUR statistics, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion as of August 31, the following have been recorded:

  • 2,354 launches of Kh-555 / Kh-101 / Kh-55SM missiles from Tu-95MS and Tu-160 bombers;
  • 321 launches of Kh-22/Kh-32 cruise missiles from Tu-22M3 aircraft;
  • 171 launches of Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles from MiG-31K/I.

The report notes that these strikes targeted civilian infrastructure – schools, hospitals, maternity hospitals, residential buildings and power plants. They resulted in thousands of civilian deaths and injuries. The Main Intelligence Directorate emphasized: fair responsibility will come for every war crime committed against Ukraine.

As is known, earlier, specialists from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine carried out a large-scale cyberattack on critically important elements of Russia’s digital infrastructure . The SPB payment system (Fast Payment System) and one of the leading telecommunications operators in the Russian Federation – TransTeleCom – were hit.

We will remind, on Sunday, September 21, in temporarily occupied Crimea, the special forces of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine “Primary” for the first time simultaneously destroyed two Russian anti-submarine amphibious aircraft Be-12 “Chaika”. In addition, a multi-purpose Mi-8 helicopter was hit.
