Match “Dynamo” — “Shakhtar”: who won and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Ukrainian Cup

Today, October 29, Dynamo Kyiv defeated Shakhtar Donetsk, knocking their opponents out of the Ukrainian Cup.

The first goal of the match was scored by Brazilian Luca Meirelles from Shakhtar. It happened at the beginning of the second half, in the 49th minute.

However, despite the first goal conceded, the blue-and-white team did not give up and did not lose to the Miners again.

So, in the 72nd minute, Andriy Yarmolenko equalized the scores of both teams. He successfully passed the ball to Vladislav Kabayev, who managed to play back.

The second, winning goal came 7 minutes later: striker Eduardo Guerrero played a finishing move and accurately scored the ball into the far corner.

This is how the Kyiv team made it to the quarterfinals of the Ukrainian Cup. This is Dynamo’s first victory over Shakhtar since 2021, when the white-and-blue team defeated the Miners in the UPL.
